You want a unique view of the Grand Canal and the Rialto market, you want to see the gondolas, boats and the traghetto pass by?
(National identification code: IT027042C249ZTDOEX)
Located in the heart of Venice, close to all kinds of shops, restaurants, cafés...
This flat is made for you: spectacle guaranteed, with magnificent palaces like the Ca' d'Oro in the background.
This charming, very Venetian flat is 80 m2 and is located on the third floor (no lift, 53 steps) of a small house whose entire façade overlooks the Grand Canal.
Quasi from the same place, here's what the Aretine said about the view that awaits you here:
“So I can truly say that I enjoy the most beautiful street and the busiest view in the world.Pietro Aretino (1492 - 1556) - Letters of Aretino
I can't stand at the window without seeing thousands of people and just as many gondolas at market time.
On the right-hand side, the view reveals the Campo delle Beccarie and the Pescheria, the left-hand field includes the bridge and the Fondaco dei Tedeschi; at the intersection of the two is the Rialto, where the merchants throng.
For me, there are vines on the barges, furred and feathered game in the shops, vegetable gardens on the ground.
I am indifferent to the streams that water the meadows when I look at the water at dawn, covered with all kinds of seasonal produce.
What a lovely pastime it is when the conveyors hand out heaps of fruit and vegetables to the porters who transport them onwards!”
The Living Room Dining Room
From both windows (with double glazing) you have a view of the Grand Canal of Venice. If you wish, you can watch TV programmes on the large flat-screen TV, but to be honest, the most beautiful view, both during the day and at night, is outside.
The location of the flat on the third floor is also a plus in this respect, as it enhances the already beautiful view from the shore.
The furniture is very Venetian: the armchairs and sofa are upholstered in patterned red Fortuny velvet, the Murano glass chandelier, the sideboard and the round table with four antique chairs. The floor is covered with Terrazzo alla Veneziana.
The First Bedroom
Very spacious and bright, its two windows (with double glazing) open onto Calle Prima de la Donzela. Two comfortable single beds can be put together or separated as desired. Together they provide more than adequate sleeping accommodation in terms of size: 1.90m x 1.80m.
Three straw-upholstered chairs with fabric covers, a large chest of drawers and an antique chest give this room a neat and high-quality appearance.
The Second Bedroom
Following the same principle as the double room, here you have two single beds (each measuring 1.90 m x 0.80 m, put together they are 1.60 m wide), which can be separated or put together at your request. This room is very bright with two beautiful windows that open onto Campo de la Pescaria and also have a marvellous view of the Grand Canal.
A lovely old upholstered armchair and chair allow you to sit comfortably and watch the spectacle of the view.
An antique chest of drawers also allows you to store most of your small belongings.
The Kitchen
The kitchen is lit by a large window overlooking the courtyard of the house.A large rustic wooden table and five chairs ensure that you can make yourself comfortable here, unless you prefer to take your meals - which we would understand - in the dining room overlooking the spectacle of the Grand Canal.
A large buffet, also rustic and made of wood, contains an impressive amount of kitchen utensils as well as plenty of crockery.
One small drawback: Mr. wants to be gentlemanlike to Mrs. during the holidays because there is no dishwasher.
Why don't you show him that you are a sponge artist?
Apart from this shortcoming, nothing is missing here: gas hob with 4 hotplates, electric oven, large fridge with separate freezer compartment, microwave with grill, 3 coffee machines, including 2 Italian Moka coffee machines, toaster, electric citrus juicer and a washing machine.
The Bathroom
The bathroom has a double-glazed window that opens onto Calle Prima de la Donzela.A light brown tiled shower occupies one of the corners. It is a good size (77 x 77 cm) and has a 40 cm opening between the two doors.
A small washbasin and a washbasin with a large mirror are located next to the shower.
Otherwise, classically, a bidet and a toilet.
The Entrance
The entrance to the flat leads to all roomsIt is furnished with an antique chest of drawers.
The Dressing Room
A small room serves as a dressing room with a large row of wardrobes. You can therefore clear out the entire contents of your suitcases, but also store them in this small room.
There is a cot in this dressing room, which can of course also be placed in another room.
