Holiday flat Venice Santa Maria Terrace
To check if this flat is available and Book it
Santa Maria Terrace is a very nice flat, for 4 people, with 2 bedrooms, in Cannaregio, next to Campo de Santa Fosca and Campo de la Maddalena.
(Identification code of the flat with the Municipality of Venice: M0270422266).
The flat has an area of 86m2, to which are added the two terraces (18m2).
The two large terraces are not only large, they also offer a marvellous view of Venice, the Campo de la Maddalena and the gondola stop, which is located at the foot of the house.
The counterpart to this view over the rooftops of Venice from the flat and its terraces: Santa Maria Terrace is on the 4th floor (no lift, 76 steps).
But believe us, your efforts will be richly rewarded, because up there you can breathe in the beauty!
The Living Room Dining Room
A large living and dining room is located in the centre of the flat.It serves the two bedrooms and also provides access to the larger of the two terraces.
The antique furniture is of very high quality, as is the decoration: ceiling mouldings, terrazzo floors alla Veneziana, carpets, beautiful antique doors, etc.
The dining area is located at the back of the house and is lit by two windows (double glazing) and the glazed patio door.
The view of Venice is particularly beautiful: Bell Tower of Santa Fosca, church and Campo de la Maddalena as well as a series of Venetian roofs and chimneys.
A very large old table, two beautiful buffets: you'll eat like princes here!
The living area consists of a three-seater sofa with light beige fabric upholstery and an armchair.
Opposite is a large flat screen TV on the wall (Italian digital terrestrial channels) and a beautiful antique chest.
À note that the flat offers Wi-Fi internet access in all rooms.
The First Terrace
The first terrace opens up at the end of the living and dining room.It is spacious (just over 13 m2) and also attractively decorated with ceramics.
The rear wall corresponds to the double bedroom, with two windows opening onto the terrace.
The second wall corresponds to the wall of the living and dining room and the third wall to the neighbouring house.
These walls that frame the terrace have a very special advantage in Venice: they are protected from the wind!
You can eat more than comfortably at the table and chairs here.
And all this without forgetting the view of the Rio with its gondolas, the Campo de la Maddalena with its church and the street Rio Terà de la Madalena.
What more could you want?
The Bridal Bedroom
First gift in this room: the view of the terrace, but also of the rooftops of Venice and the church of La Maddalena. It is pleasantly decorated and furnished in typical Venetian style: Decorative mouldings on the ceiling, Murano glass chandeliers, antique furniture with inlays, pretty antique mirrors, etc.
Sleeping side: A large, comfortable double bed (1.60m x 2.00m), which actually has two separate wooden slatted frames.
Two antique armchairs upholstered in pink fabric, a chest of drawers and a large, equally antique wardrobe ensure that you can store your small belongings without any worries.
The two large windows are double-glazed, the floor is laid with Terrazzo alla Veneziana and the house is air-conditioned.
The Second Bedroom
A second bedroom opens onto the living roomFeatures of this room include a private veranda and a Gotrian stone path casement.
The room is very bright and has a large window (double glazed) and a patio door (also double glazed) leading onto the veranda.
This room also serves as a second living room with a double sofa bed.
In terms of sleeping options, this sofa bed with comfortable bed linen has a wooden slatted base.
Its dimensions are: 1.90 m x 1.40 m.
Its floor is Terrazzo alla Veneziana and it has beautiful exposed beams on the ceiling.
This room is also air-conditioned.
The Second Terrace Veranda
This terrace is not as large as the previous one, but is still a nice size (1.40 m x 3.50 m). It has the advantage of also being a veranda. An interesting element if you live in this flat during the cold season.
Especially as this is not very disruptive in summer, as you can simply open the large window fronts to feel "outside".
The view is just as beautiful as on the other terrace and relatively identical, with the added bonus of the view of the Bell Tower of the Santa Fosca church.
The Second Dining Room
A second dining room opens up next to the entrance to the flat. This 8m2 room consists of a 50s-style round table framed by a bench and two matching chairs.
An antique piece of furniture completes the decor.
This small, rather bright dining room is lit by a window (with overglazing) that has a beautiful view of the rooftops of Venice as well as the Bell Tower of the Madona de l'Orto.
It is also a pleasant alternative to breakfast, so you only need to use the main dining room at mealtimes.
Its floor is made of Terrazzo alla Veneziana.
The Kitchen
The kitchen is accessed from this small dining room. This is not very large (5m2), but it is neatly furnished and equipped.
It has a nice cooking element with integrated electric oven and 5-burner gas hob.
Although this kitchen is small, it is quite well lit via its two windows.
One of them offers the same view as the dining room, namely of the Madona de l'Orto Bell Tower, while from the other you can see the Bell Tower of Santa Fosca.
The Bathroom
The bathroom opens directly next to the bedroom with double bed. Its walls are covered with brown-green tiles. The room is lit by a double-glazed window.
A large wall mirror is located above the washbasin, under which there is a mirror cabinet.
A shower occupies one of the corners. It is a good size (96 cm x 66 cm) and the opening between the doors is 64 cm.
A toilet and a bidet complete the bathroom facilities.
The Location
The Santa Maria Terrace flat is located in one of the most romantic places in Cannaregio, surrounded by small bridges and enchanting alleys, but also by beautiful palaces. You are also just a few minutes away from the Grand Canal in Venice.
