Elisabetta and Giuliano Emiliani's antique shop is located in Venice's Ghetto, just off the Ponte des Guglie.

This is a far cry from a flea market, where objects are presented in bulk.

Elisabetta and Giuliano's home is a home from home, where everything is presented with love and passion.

It's no longer a shop, it's simply a “home” that opens its doors to you and where all their passion shines through.

Here are just some of the beautiful things you can find at Antichita al Ghetto:

As well as familiar objects, rarer and more original items also have their place in this antiques shop, and you'll also discover some magnificent 18th and 19th century medicine boxes, duly accompanied by very precise notes about the medicinal herbs or the medicine whose name they bear.

And as we are in the Venetian Ghetto, there are also some rare items among the books and religious objects, such as this tiny silver candlestick (originally from Warsaw) to celebrate Hanukkah, the Jewish festival of lights; and old Christian icons painted inside small wooden boxes the size of a missal that you could take with you wherever you went.

Last but not least, and this is one of Giuliano's personal passions, the most intricate and complicated antique locks and bolts, some of them almost goldsmiths' pieces, also have their place reserved at Antichità al Ghetto.
