Dualchas Architects, Venice International Architecture Biennale
The architecture firm Dualchas offers an audiovisual installation at the Venetian Arsenal, whose aim is to explore the link between language, territory and architecture.Several films are presented to create an environment that encourages visitors to explore Scotland's landscapes and the difficulties for an architect.
In this respect, the films focus on the climate, geography and topography of the different places presented.
The objective is to show the importance of understanding the history of a place in determining a sustainable future.
Two symbolic objects are on display: a violin and a Gaelic Bible.
Objects linked to Scottish identity are chosen to demonstrate the value of a thing that resonates with the essence of a place.
Therefore, The central theme is an architecture that recognises our past while having confidence in our future.
