United Arab Emirates, Aridly Abundant What are the architectural possibilities when we imagine arid landscapes as spaces of abundance?

This is the subject of the exhibition at the United Arab Emirates Pavilion.

Climate change has highlighted the increased importance of being able to continue living in spaces where the lack of water is already a permanent challenge.

This exhibition presents new materials capable of increasing the inherent potential of stone to be able to contribute to the construction of buildings designed in, with and against aridity.

United Arab Emirates, Aridly Abundant The exhibition shows the different possibilities and techniques of assembly known in arid zones.

To prove that it is possible to replicate these techniques in places other than the United Arab Emirates, these assembly methods were reproduced using stone fragments from quarries in Veneto.

Traditional assembly techniques have been integrated into contemporary technologies such as 3D scanning and 3D printing.

In this sense, the exhibition wishes to contribute to the future challenges that will arise in the United Arab Emirates but also elsewhere.
