Alex da Corte Venice Biennale International Art Exhibition
In his work “The Decorated Shed” Alex Da Corte takes us into a navy-blue cocoon where our feet sink into a thick carpet, and we feel caught in an atmosphere that mixes nightclub with its neon lights and children’s room with its decoration.
This work is an exact replica of an American miniature village depicted in the television series “Mister Roger’s Neighborhood” (1968-2001).
On the mahogany wood table is a small American world, perfectly ordered, clean, with neat facades, with its windows lit at night, advertising signs and perfectly mowed lawns.
The best of all worlds!
Alex Da Corte was born in the United States in 1980 lives and works in Philadelphia.
